Description
Portrait of Dorothy Ditter in U.S. Navy uniform. In 1942, Ditter joined the WAVES (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service), a World War II-era division of the U.S. Navy. She served as an assistant librarian at the Delaware Historical Society during the early 1940s. She later married Victor Gandos.
