Description
Hetty Evans, an enslaved woman of Sussex County, provides information on May 8, 1831 about the sale of her daughter, Sarah Evans. Both women were part of the estate of Elijah Evans. Jacob Davidson was to buy Sarah's freedom, but ran away. Sarah was then sold for $80 to Peter Robinson by Ebe Walter.
