Description
A court case prosecuted in the Mayor's Court of Wilmington, Delaware against Emory Hand during the March Term, 1835. The state's Attorney General finds the defendant guilty of assault and battery. Sentencing includes a fine of $3 plus the costs of prosecution, tallied as $14.98, and sale of defendant. Additional cases are brought in the June Term of the Mayor's Court of Wilmington, Delaware against Jacob Curry for larceny; Emory Hand for assault and battery (again?); Ringolo Hand for assault, and Moris Davis for violence. All are sentenced to be sold to pay fines and the costs of prosecution.
