Carte de visite, Agnes Garrett, E. & M. Garrett (Wilmington), circa 1866-1870

A carte de visite of Ellwood Garrett's daughter Agnes (later Agnes Garrett Harrison Baker), from the studio of Ellwood and Maurice Garrett in Wilmington. The studio only operated under that name from 1866-1870, although the print may have used an older backing. This CdV came together with one of Agnes's sister Emily in an envelope addressed to Emily's daughter Agnes Child Cremer. The note included (not depicted) erroneously referred to this image as that of "[Emily's] daughter Agnes Child." Partially legible marginalia is written on the back, in an unknown hand.
