Description
One of two identical daguerreotypes of the same man (the better copy of the two). Information obtained at time of accession provisionally identified the subject as Thomas Garrett's brother Benjamin, but given the chronology that attribution seems unlikely. The photograph perhaps depicts Ellwood's half-brother Eli.
